Last night I photographed some theater at The Players Club of Swarthmore (a terrific production of Bus Stop, that famous play that had Marilyn Monroe in the movie) and saw a friend in the lobby.
He's a bit lost.
He's starting to work at home but doesn't know where to start. He's so used to having his boss tell him what to do.
OK... he's a good guy and not a kid just starting out, and his boss didn't wipe his nose nor spoon-feed him every day, but when he really examined his work-life, he didn't have to find his work, do his work, reap his own rewards: he was on the clock and basically did what someone else told him to do.
Life sure is different now for him, and he's a bit lost.
We keep chatting. I'm helping as much as I can right now since I racing the clock to finish a project, but I did suggest he join our Group on Facebook: UltimateWAHDads.
I think he'll feel better sharing with other Dads in his situation. I KNOW he'll get help there.
What about you?
Charlie
